100% original, matched pair of 10" Oxford 10K5-4 speakers
Serials:
- Printed on chassis edge: 10K5XH579 & 10K5XH679
- Printed on chassis arm: 10K5-4 / 465-246 (dating these to the 46th week of 1962)
- Printed white on the back of the cone: P4648
Power handling : 25 Watt
Impedance (as measured) : 7.4 Ohm and 8.1 Ohm, respectively
Extremely rare to find (especially when not reconed!) and highly sought after for the purpose of properly restoring any of the following Fender amplifiers (made in late 1962 or early 1963): blonde Tremolux, brown Concert, brown Vibroverb and brown Super.
Although the brown plastic covers are gone, note that the speakers still sport the original solder joints and black and white cloth wires that once connected them to the Fender amp to which they were originally mated.
These are in excellent working condition: no tears, no holes, just a few stains. There is some oxidation on both chassis, but this is purely cosmetic and obviously nothing to worry about.
Most importantly, the speakers sound warm and full and are absolutely trouble-free!
